like 2 although the birds especially the one in foreground take away from the scale and power of the wave/rock.
, the wave in foreground of 1 is a bit distracting

Thats what i like..others opinions:) I think you right with 1..the wave could go..but i do like the bird on 2..it calms it down a little:)
I prefer #1 wave ‘n all. I would crop out the water below the wave though. Well done
