    Its a nice B&W picture. I think though I would put a bit more detail into the shadows to balance the picture up (dont overdo it, in photoshop use the shadow and highlight tool)

    well spotted shot RAS, as Martin says it just needs something to make the track stand out some more.
    I’d love to see it in colour…

    i love it, wouldn’t want to try driving that one! rather than lower the contrast by brightening the shadows i would dodge the road a tad to pull it out…

    either way nice image

    That will make a nice baryta print. I would just work on the shadowy parts by gentle touches here and there (the rocks on the top left for instance) : it will add depth to the picture.

    Thanks all yes the reason I went B&W on this was the light was so flat on the day . I am watching the position of the sun and intend to get back to this one when the light falls better , Also think I will try get a higher vantage point to lift the road a little

    I like this. It’s the kind of shot too where you might think to yourself, “Where’s the wee man in the cap pushing his bike up to the top of the hill.”

    I’m interested in the square-ish format here. Is that by choice in software?
