Madeleine, these are absolutely beautiful, specially second one… light, lines, composition,… great one
Anthony DoyleParticipantMartinOCParticipantI like these a lot, they are a bit stylised with processing for sure, but I like the style, very clean and crisp.
#2 and #3 I like more than #1, it is not so interesting for me. But I do wonder about the sharpness of #2 at a large size, it seems a bit soft.Martin
proachMemberLiam2673ParticipantThey are excellently structured and technically accomplished. Personally, I like photos to ‘look like’ what the scene actually looked like. In the last photo, the sky and sea to the right hand side look quite blue-grey, a much more appealing grey than what I would imagine a coastal storm might look like. So while it looks nice, its a bit too far from what I think it should look like in reality…..
With number two, I think the colours are little too bright, but I love the layers of light, shade and sky in this photo.
SteveDParticipantMadeleine,
I really like the second shot. The layered composition, lighting and colours are all fantastic!

No. 1 looks like its been over done a bit with HDR.
b318ispParticipantJMac-2006ParticipantMadeleine you are posting some great images. For me
~1 the processing is quite obvious with the halo lighting along the edges of the mountains – the sea doesnt seem to naturally reflect the sky above
~2 is a great image – the obviously well considered composition the colours of the sky and the lighting on the mountains really work together
~3 nice scene but not a lot to hold the attention – it looks a bit hazy grey tooMadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantthanks to all of you for stopping by….
Image 1 was my first experience with hdr and what can i say…..i was overexcited. I agree that nature did not look like this. What i love about it is, that the image became an image on its own with colours whose i would like to eat…so tasty are they (:
Image 2 was good timing at the late evening with a leaving sun. Whenever i get the chance to press the button during those magical lightcreations in nature….i am in heaven…i guess that is my desire as a lanscape and arts photographer.
Image 3….everybody who knows kerry…knows the sun beam thing and the antartica blues in the sky after a storm….this is the result of a polfilter with different cloudlayers. I selected this image because for me it is a powerfull expression of peace and divine presence in nature.
