Lovely composition and light.
I think it’s a little over-sharpened though, the detail on the trees and the rocks looks wrong like it was sharpened too much or god forbid HDR’d!!! :)
I could copy and paste ballymans comment lovely composition but the it does look really oversharpened
as above. it also look a bit flat to me. think id prefer if the scene down low was lit better but still not a bad auld image Bren.
over sharpened but really nice none the less ! composition and tones are spot on ..
Having shot this spot twice, you can’t get the foreground lit nicely and have the last rays of light hit the watchman (unless you do hdr). Even in the morning, it’s muted. In November it is better as the trees are golden, so gives the impression of being brighter. If you ever head back Bren, I highly recommend end of October start of November for the fall colours, and try the angle of this shot from down on the river, it’s nicer IMO and you dont have to line up with a whole heap of other photographers!
