Very good Oy, the selective colouring works well and I like the title. took me a few minutes for the penny to drop
BTW: I will have a quarter of pink bon bonsnfl-fanParticipantSometimes the C&C section is more about the emotions that a shot sparks within you.. so here we go:
Arghh… I long for a shop like this… at almost 34 years of age I still crave for all the classics… give me a quarter of:
* Cola Cubes
* Pineapple Cubs
* Apple Drops
* Clove Rocks
* Pear DropsI seen the oldest sweet shop in England on TV a couple of weeks ago (the BBC2 – Great British Menu), put a longing on me. Visited their online shop but they don’t ship outside the UK (http://www.oldestsweetshop.co.uk).
Any of you boys across the border willing to take delivery on €100 worth of sweets and forward them onto me for a Quarter of Rosie Apples?
J
lousyParticipantThe title is great and I twigged straight away.
The colour pop works really well here and the title just makes it all the better.Pat
MartinOCParticipantVery nice shot, brings back memories, and cleverly done.
When I was young I used to visit my Granny in Enniscorthy, and the go to a shop called Court Street Stores, with the big jars of sweets in the window, and the lady who owned the place had a big old-fashion scales putting weights on one side. A quarter of Clove Rock please!
nfl-fanParticipantSure that’s where I’m from Enniscorthy… and lousy of Enniscorthy origins too!

nfl-fanParticipantSgt_MajorMembersure, for those, it’s not going to break the bank.
there’s a sweet shop in my little town, I’m sure Ive seen all the ones you mentioned there.
MartinOCParticipantWe shouldn’t get off topic here, but I have to say Enniscorthy/Wexford, (as I remember) was a great town & county for old mills, and breweries etc and countryside to photograph, not to mention the Slaney ( if it hasn’t all been redeveloped over the last 10 or so years since I visited). And a bit of sunshine for Ireland.
Sorry for hijacking your thread Oy, try not to be so evocative next time :)

If you’re ever back around the old homestead give us a shout and we’ll go on a shoot.
