Did you crop this one? Only kiddin’.Nice shot.
Very funny FS :) , and thanks for the comment!
MikkaParticipantBeautiful shot Ken, but, that blinding sun (made me reach for the shades) detracts from what could have been a truly wonderful image………..Mikka

agree with you Mick – I cocked it up ‘cos I didn’t recognise how dominating it was until too lete – I’ve done all I know how to lessen the ffect :(
flynnyParticipantThats a fine shot Ken,
It’s a pity about the sun.
You’ll just have to go back and shoot again… :)MickSParticipantI agree with Paul, above. Go back and shoot it again without the sun blowing out the right side of the shot. It’s a brilliant image apart from that.
BrickerParticipantFor me its a case of Hay I like this, but the sun is the last straw :D
Sorry, Im not normally that corny – whoops, that one slipped out.
Seriously, love the shot in general, but has said before me, the sun is that bit too much.
kenhParticipantThanks for the comments (it’s a pity it’s actually barley lol).
I have placed another order for the sunshine, and the kid, so planning to repeat soon !
ciaranParticipantIt’s already been said about the sun… but if you are to shoot this again, also consider a slightly lower viewpoint. I also think having the line off centre would add for a lot more drama. As it is now the trees on the left are an unnecessary distraction and the person is being lost in the mountains/hills in the background.
All in all the colour of the light is beautiful and the barley swaying in the wind is a wonderful effect. But it’s a shot missed :( Here’s hoping for some more gorgeous light.
RobMemberGorgeous light and colour in this Ken, though as has already been
mentioned the burnout from the sun is a bit of a pity. Have you considered
losing the rhs of the image and cropping to a square? This would also take
the track off centre and create a better composition…kenhParticipantRob wrote:

appreciate all of the comments!

…not sure – returning to the scene of the crime might be the best plan!
The crop certainly helps, but I agree that a re-shoot would be the best solution assuming you can get that beautiful light again.
