Nice one Rob. I think this might be valerian, but I’m not sure. I like the curve of the balustrade.

Yes, valerian it is. Don’t let it near your garden, spreads like wildfire!

Apologies for being negative, but something is missing in the picture! Worse still, I can’t figure out what it is! Oh great, now I am rude as well as an idiot! Is it contrast? sharpness? focus?

PS: May be its just me!

Nope. It’s me as well. All of the above are missing. I posted this one a long time
ago when I was only beginning to get to grips with my new dSLR. You can thank me old
mate Pierre l’Homme for resurrecting this post. I’d forgotten about it completely. I was well
chuffed with it at the time, but looking at it now I don’t know what to think. I like the
curve of the balustrade (with one ‘l’ Pete, thank you very much) myself, but not much else.
Oh well, we live and learn, especially when it comes to spelling…

I didn’t even notice that your spelling was different till you pointed it out.

When it comes to flowers, I tend to look at the subject more than the photo, so I think it’s perfectly good. Perhaps lacks sharpness, but I like it.

Ah, I was starting to wonder if I was getting addicted to overly saturated colors! Thanks Rob!
