Dave, you’re right, I’m lucky if they sit still for half a second – I don’t
make too many calculations about background I’m afraid.
I have cottoned on to foreground problems: I take far fewer shots
with twigs bisecting my subject these days.
Thanks folks. The hole in the shed was one of my better ideas.
Joseph suggested I post a picture of it, but I’m a bit embarrassed about
my dodgy carpentry skills.
If anyone wants a tip, here it is: cut one edge of the hole and fit a hinge
before you cut the other three edges – that way, you get a perfect trapdoor.
