I was hoping to get a little critique on this image,
Its one that had to be helped a little in PS.
The headland was at the other side of the image,
I swopped it over ‘cos I thought it balanced the image a little better,
Again thanks for commentingSeaviewParticipantNice job Paul, you’d never tell that the headland was flipped. I think the foreground action is nearly enough to carry the whole image, well spotted.
Dave.
RASMITH32Memberlike everything about this shot. Youhave captured the motion well and it sucks you into the image..
Well done. Best landscape I have seen in a while
5faytheParticipantHi Paul,
What a marvellous scene and I think a really nice image too.
I love the tones and the beams of light in the sky are lovely. That you said “I was hoping to get a little critique on this image,” set me wondering
if you might not be 100% happy with it yourself but I could be wrong of course.I had a couple of observations but whether they improve the image is a matter for discussion.
While the image is fine as it is I did think that there was quite a large amount of white in
the lower 2/3rds of the frame. As an experiment might I suggest taking the the Burn Tool to the white areas to bring up the darker
tones in this area.
I would then crop a little from the bottom.
I have tried this myself before suggesting it and I quite liked the result. Not a criticism of your image though……
Well done,
John.
nashielsParticipantflynnyParticipantThanks folks,
John,I was asking for a bit of critique because,as much as I appreciate people taking the time to make any comment(good or bad),
Maybe someone has a suggestion that might improve the image,
As u suggested maybe a different crop(which works well),
I actually think the shot is a little gimmicky ,
The technique used is fairly simple,
One day I like the image, the next day I’m not so sure. :?
It was used in Club panel recently, and Iwas a little surprised that it was used.
Anyway, thanks again for the replies .
