I’ve been going through some of my older shots in Lightroom to see what it can make of them, and I came up with these two from an expedition cruise on our trip to Patagonia in April last year.

#1 is a stitch of 7 images in Autostich. I’m not sure about the amount of sea in the foreground, I’d be tempted to crop a bit more, but left it as 617 ratio for now
#2 is a sunrise from the deck of the ship. It was freezing! The red in the mountain facing is the lenga (somewhat like beech) forest, which is absolutely spectacular in the Patagonian autumn.
I developed the raw twice to get contrast in the sky, and a smidgen of detail in the sides of the channel, and merged in PS.
I love mountain scape’s and i love them in the panoramic format. I am a big fan of the Scottish photographer ‘Colin Prior’ who is the master of these type of images. These are really nice and the light is excellent. Really well done. I would say these would look lovely printed
Absolutely gorgeous shots and what fantastic view. I really like the first image (just a preference), i love the subtle blue/gray tones and
the highlights just where you need them. Hmm, i need an 8ft print for my sitting room, i might be onto you :)

Thanks Ali, there’s probably enough resolution in there for once! Now all remains to be done is find some kind soul with a 44″ roll printer and a few gallons of ink to spare :D
