    Excellent!

    Love everything about it.

The tone, the light, the perspective.

Just a really imaginative and well taken photo.

Might be my fave of yours..I said might…

Very Nice Robbie – being (almost) a Londoner, this is one I’d want on my walls – also I’d say it has great post-card potential.

Only very minor criticism would be I’d like to see a little more space between top of BB’s spire and the sculpture – although that may have been difficult to achieve.

Thanks Shar…glad ya like it :-)

Mr.H… cheers…I seem to get that comment quite a bit about some of my shots…maybe I should start up a little sideline…;-)

I’ve since done a search and found that this particular shot is quite a popular one with visitors to the London Eye (it’s right beside it), and in fact I came across one which angle wise at least, was practically identical. I agree that I maybe could have tried for a slightly lower angle, but there quite a lot of people passing by and it would have been a little awkward. It’s a shot I’d like to go back to again next time I vist London.

I spent quite a bit of time cloning out an ugly christmas lights thing that runs right across the space between the two landmarks and across the rh side clockface. As the more eagle eyed will have spotted I wasn’t totally successful and might spend a lttle more time getting it perfect if possible.

    Anyways..thanks for the kind comments…:-)

Very nice Robbie, lovely tones, lovely idea too. Definitely worth another visit.
A pity about there being too many people in the way. You’ll just have to get up
    earlier next time… ;)

I really like this as well. If I had one criticism it would that the foreground clock is a little underexposed. I would of done a bit of dodging on the clock face just to bring it up a bit. Not too much though.

    Just my opinion mind you.

Gotta love those melting clocks. Nice juxtaposition going on here.

As has been said a bit more detail in the foreground would be nice. Nice desaturated colours on Big Ben.

This is really cool, have not really had a chance to get a good look at your London stuff but this really caught my eye. I think I would like to see it in b&w though, maybe with a little tone added.

Thanks Steve, Harry, Wayne and Sinead…I’d take a guess and assume that this piece is very deliberately placed where it is, with the clocktower in the background. Although it is opposite the Dali museum, so maybe it is just a coincidence.

Sinead..you know me for black and white..I have done some black and white conversions already..but this one was still my favourite as I thought it brought out the tones in the bronze better. No doubt I’ll put up a mono version sooner or later and probably lighten the foreground a little as suggested..although again..it doesn’t look that dark on my laptop compared to my work PC

Anways..thanks for the comments again. Much appreciated… :-)
