Tiny wildflower..ID Please..

Very small, about half an inch or so. Looks like an Orchid,grows on a tall stalk with other flowers.

Looks like it’s Wood Vetch. Do you have a shot of the overall plant?

I don’t go for the wood vetch idea, sorry. It’s a pretty photo, but from a botanising view point it’s not the most helpful (I think youse say shoyt in Dublin?).
I don’t think orchid either. That keel on the lower petal should be a giveaway, but it’s not ringing any bells for me yet.
What were the leaves like? Was the whole plant half an inch, or just the flower? Where was it growing?
It might be Lamium purpureum. If not, then I’d say it’s from the deadnettle family.
noeley, that picture seems dark on my monitor, any chance you could process it a bit more?

Sorry for being so vague Pete, the flower is about half inch in size and yes having Googled that fancy latin name ya gave me…..it does look like one of them :lol: Griangraf, the plant is about the size of a primula,I can see where yer coming from
with the Vetch but its a lot smaller than that. Jb7……brighten yer monitor…..it’s too dark :lol:
