If you have ever seen little red pin head sized yokes running around
like mad things…….well this is one of them  Sigma 70mm macro
plus 2x convertor. Not an outstandingly sharp shot cos he wouldnt stay
still for long, I put out some sugar in the hope it would keep him interested
    for a while.

I love it! Not as sharp as it could be, but still a great shot.

Thanks Sharon, it was cropped to within an inch of its life as well
which didnt help, but hey nothing ventured nothing gained as they
    say :)

I like it too – could be a tad sharper but nice nonetheless….

What ARE these little fellas called anyway? :?

I like the sugar crytals, the spider could be sharper but it is still a nice shot IMO.

Dunno Vanessa I have always called them red spider mites but dont
know why? they are like specks of dust really tiny. Thanks for looking!
Thanks Jim, yep the sugar came out better than the insect, I have another
with a tiny ant which I will post today.

We get millions of those little things all over our garden and the walls of
our house, no idea what they are. And they really are tiny, so fair play to
you for actually getting a shot of one…

I have discovered they are called red spider mites and hate
water, love the heat dont know what damage they do (if any)
and there are probably trillions of them in everyones garden!
