DaveMurdochParticipant
I took a run down to Tollymore last week while im off with a broken thumb. It was a very dull day but im quite happy with these two..
Had to tweak them a bit in DPP..
C&C very welcome :)RaVMemberGreat composition in both of these, they both turned out very good, but my favourite would be the second one ;)
Gary McParlandParticipantKnow both these spots very well Dave, good compositions and a very good job even if the lighting was a bit dull.
Gary
phillipMembernice shot, might have crop the top of the second shot, just include steps.
DaveMurdochParticipantCheers lads :D i haven`t been down there since school(20 years ago  ) but i`ll def be down again,in fact i was down today with a mate.We were watching two wee Dippers, one of them was displaying for the other i think. 8)
Gary it was your website that inspired me to head down  When i saw the shot of Foleys Bridge i had to get out there :D
SodafarlMemberDve, 2 nice shots. I particularly like the first, as you say it looks a dull day which was unfortunate for you. I have viewed your pictures since you come on this site and have noticed a vast improvement and IMHO these are probably the best 2.
I know you are doing a course at tech do you think it has helped or or has the folk here helped more.Soda
DaveMurdochParticipantCheers soda :)
My tech course has been really good fun and i`ve learnt plenty from the tutor, this site has been helpful too but mainly with composition by studying peoples images and being advised how to crop my own.But i prob learn more from photography mag`s if im honest…Thomas GeeMemberThese 2 images are beautiful
The second one is my favourite.
I must confess I did not know where Tullymore was until I googled it.
I must pay a visit . It seems to have a lot going on there.
DaveMurdochParticipantThanks Thomas :D
Its a beautiful spot, well worth a visit.I`ll def be heading down again when there`s better light..oh and bring waders.some of the nicer spots i couldn`t get to cos of the deeper water
RASMITH32MemberDaveMurdochParticipantbigalguitarpickerParticipantVery good exposure in the first, as detail is visible on the underside of the arch. I’m wondering did you bracket and apply HDR techniques, did you select this area and tweak exposure in post processing, or given that the day was overcast, did you get the shot in a single exposure?
Where are you studying?
Alex.DaveMurdochParticipantCheers Alex,
Single exposure on both of these.I used Digital Photo Professional to edit the raw image, editing saturation/exposure/white balance etc..
Im going to Bangor Tech,i kinda wish it was over cos the fishing has started to kick off
