Nice shot, more of a documentary shot for me than a landscape.

For me it documents the Celtic Tiger throw away Culture. With all the people homeless and starving on the planet when you see fields of tents that were perfectly working yesterday and here they are a few hours before they are chucked into a skip something has to be wrong with human kind

Hopefully this recession will reprogram people for the better.

Sorry for the rant, nice documentary picture though for me:-)

On a positive note, tents that are left are collected and given to charities for the 3rd world.

Nice shot MeleKalikimaka, the sky is great!

Hopefully some of them will but lets be honest most will end up in a skip. What charity will take them and fix them as im sure most are ripped, have broken poles etc, sure look at them in the pictures there flattened, you could buy tents cheaper when buying in bulk so no charity is going to pay to fix them up, the only place most of them tents are going to is a skip lets be honest…..

Well I’m not sure how many tents have been recycled, but some are better than none. If you have a look at the larger picture you can actually see a good number of tents that are still standing. The sleeping bags also are collected by the Scouts and Tangerine Fields, then laundered to give to homeless people.

    It’s quite a powerful image.

I like the sky (almost b&w) contrasting with the bright colours of the tents.
