Great series of shots and thanks for the commentary that went with it. On initial view I preferred number 2 but having read the commentary I do like the first shot.
Great shots, especially #1. Brave of you to ask in the first place, especially in a foreign place. They don’t even seem too destitute – that’s NY for ya!

Great set of shots Merv, and the detail that goes with them, I remember a few years ago asking a street guy, if I could take his picture after talking to him for about 10 mins he nearly went through me. That stopped me for awhile asking.
