Town…

Hi guys and gals, here’s a couple of works I got on a walk through Town the other day.

    Tech Details:
    Nikon D3
    Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VRI

    Street Beauty

    ISO200 1/320th f/2.8 125mm

    Rock On

    ISO200 1/500th f/4 175mm

    On the way…

    ISO 200 1/400th f/9 135mm

It isn’t something I do very often but when I go into town and have some time to kill, I always like to bring the camera and wander around for a bit.

Critique is not only welcome but encouraged as always.

If you’d be so kind to like and share my Facebook page, I’d be very grateful.

    Thank you all.

Some decent shots Rod & right up my street if you’ll pardon the pun!
My only suggestion is to try to become more aware of surroundings in the area such as the bin in image III.
Very little you can do but try to get a different angle where practical.

Shot 1 is great, nicely framed, nicely processed.
Shot 2 is pretty cool also. The subject is a little small for my liking, but it all works, the young lad, hard rock sign , bollards leading you in to the subject.

3rd one doesnt work for me. the bin draws the eye straight away, the subject feels too close to the left of the frame, even if he is looking to the right. Id play with the crop on this one again as im sure theres a better image there somewhere.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

It has been a while since I’ve done some street photography so quite rusty at it and it shows.

What I like about the 2nd shot is that the young lad has a hard rock t-shirt too. Thought it was a nice thing, probably staff but it caught my eye.

    Critique is greatly appreciated.
