  • From a local pub, shot with a Canon 5d with an 85mm f1.2 1/100th f1.2 ISO 3200 underexposed by one stop and pushed in post production

    I like this shot a lot Keith … the intensity of the girl on the fiddle makes the shot … looks good for iso3200, although girl in question looks like she got a little noise reduction all to herself :-)

    The 1.2 aperture makes for lovely isolation of the subject, I particularly like the bow coming out of the depth of field in the foreground ….

    The BW Conversion is spot-on and the grain in the rest of the shot add to the authenticity … pity about the seat obscuring the rest of the girl, but, having said that, it is all in the eyes …

    Hope that’s not too OTT for critique, but I wouldn’t have given it a second glance if I hadn’t liked it immensely..

    Thanks Phil, pity about the seat alright. Light was really bad and the shots really is iso 6400+ to get what you see on screen
