OK…. Just to let yee know. I brought the tripod fully expecting to have to check it in. Just put some tie wraps around the legs and stuff. In Dublin on the way down there was absolutely no problem whatsoever and brought it onboard. Got some funny looks from the other passengers all the same. On the way back the check in girl reckoned that I wouldn’t be able to bring it on board but told me to try anyway…! No problems there either…! Security just asked me to take the laptop out of my bag and that was it! Just so ye know its over 80cm’s long with the leveling head and 141 RC attached…! Their policies are definitely loose. Not complaining.

Wow, that’s some laptop!
Glad to hear it all worked out in the end. Sometimes we worry too much about little details like this but then again don’t they say that the devil is in the detail. But it sounds like you went prepared for all eventualities!
Hope the shoot went OK for you. I don’t suppose there’s any chance of seeing some of the images at some stage (probably not, on account of their commercial nature). Still, I thought I’d ask anyway.

richiehatchMemberYeah it worked out well…! I finally got some decent weather for doing exteriors. The last 2 days I have been out it had been lashing rain and resorted t o shooting under a brolly…! As for seeing the images… when i eventually get around to getting my website up and running which hopefully will be within the next couple of months then you’ll be able to see all my commercial/paid work…!
