Hey,
has anyonetried out through the viewfinder photography?
I think it looks fantastic.http://www.flickr.com/groups/throughtheviewfinder/
Mr.HParticipantI could go into a victor meldrewesque rant .. ‘what in the name of god would you want to do that for’… I often struggle with the one viewfinder… but must admit it looks like fun, and maybe a good use for my old EOS30 which doesn’t get out much these days.
Wonder what they do with stuff on the original viewfinder – things like focus points an so-on? Lots of cloning I guess?

AimeeParticipantAnd did you see some of the Dualflex images in the Pool? They are seriously cool.
ExpresbroParticipantI’m thinking of setting up a Flickr group for shots taken through those old “Beer Bottle Lens” national health glasses….!!
What do ya think?
CianMcLiamParticipantDoesn’t do anything for me, can’t say I hanker for the 70’s and early 80’s look at all.
Mr.HParticipantWasn’t there someone here using a pringles lid for a white balance filter (forgive me if this was a surreal dream – it happens sometimes) – this would make a good group…. I assume these pictures would be crisp rather than sharp.
CianMcLiamParticipantHa! Yes that was me and my old pringles lid, the idea has been floating around the ‘interwebs’ for ages now. It’s only used to take a white balance reading, not to take pics :)
Mr.HParticipantthanks for the clarification ken… that one had been troubling me for a while!
digitalfotomanParticipantI hadn’t heard of this before but afraid I’m not going to try it out – but then again if I set up the D70 on a tripod and attach the D200 using cable ties and then ……… No I don’t think I’ll bother
FlipflipParticipantLooks well cool. Id like to give it a go at some stage.
I have a bit of a weak spot for that kinda look!!
AimeeParticipantbethParticipanti used to use a coffee filter for wb instead of a pringles can lid. only added advantage over the pringles can was it could be folded up. still have one that i carry with me, but usually just do it in raw conversion software now that i’m getting better with wb.
