Its pretty crap putting something up and no comments although I thought the Landscape guys may have offered something.
Its definiotely something that I haven’t done a lot off but here goes.

I think that if you had made 2 shots out of this 1 of the waterfall its self and maybe 1 of the foreground it may have got more comments.
On the picture you have got the water is nice and woolly but not too much over the top.
It looks a lovely spot I would definitely revisit it and take a view more.

Welcome to PI by the way.

Thank’s for the comments, pic was taken not long ago an the flow was pretty small, but will definitely be head’n back an by the looks of the weather it’ll be sooner rather than later, yea not many people seem to bother with comment’s, its a pity as i’m new here an would greatly appreciate any comments whether good or bad.

    hi dave,

2 things that strike me about this is there are too many dark shadows
and there is not much colour or the colours are muted.

the composition is good and the blur in the water is ok too.

Maybe visit at a different time of the day to catch the light on the rocks
    from the side if possible.

good attempt and a pleasing image all the same.

I’ll bet there’s a lot more water in that river today! If you’re going back bring a pair of waders!
The colours are a wee bit muted as Aoluain points out, did you shoot around midday? I’d try to use a slower shutter speed to blur the water even more, but that would increase burn-out in the water at the top of the falls. Maybe in that case a graduated filter would help, or even shoot bracketed frames and combine as HDR. Just my suggestion! Over all it’s a good shot.

Was up there myself not long ago, I found it tricky to get a good composition myself, I ended up going to the river just above it and to take a shot there, just around the corner is the waterfall.

have to agree with the above critiques I often find when the light is that harsh that it often helps to pick out tighter shots from the bigger picture as it stands the white light at the top really distracts.

good composition, but would return when the light is softer.
