Two From Bog Meadow

Hi there everyone.

Bog Meadow is a small nature walk close to Enniskerry village, I got these images there this morning.

#1 The Fallen

When I saw this leaf I was struck with a sense that it knew that it was dying, yet it was going out in a blaze of colour,of course it is going to end up like its forebears beneath it.

#2 Competition

It looks like the ivy and the moss are battling for control of the tree trunk, my money is on the ivy.

Hi Paul, the colour in the first leaf is very good, and really stands out against the
background of brown leaves, in the second shot my money is on the ivy also :lol:
did you use flash? the ivy leaves are quite bright with what looks like flash reflection.

first shot is lovely, is there a bit of motion blur on the second one as well. might just be me.

Thanks guys.

No flash was used and blurring was possible as it was a breezy day.

With the 1st image the colour of the leaf against the dull background just caught my eye, it was almost like it had fallen in that place just to garner some attention.
