No this one doesn’t grab my attention either, but #2 is very nice-

Thanks for the comments Ken. I am new to this kind of thing. As for the M8, well I was going to trade up to the EOS 1Ds MkIII but I thought that if I was going out into the street poking a camera in peoples faces it might be better that I looked like a silly old fart with an old fashioned camera rather than a huge paperazi gizmo. I cannot fault the camera. It is just the photographer that needs to be improved.

John, #1 is lacking as they say maybe a boost in contrast. #2 Is very nice with lovely colours.

second one is really cool. its like spot the calla lilys!! theres more of them randomly in the picture than any others!!
first one coukd use some cropping, and perhaps more contrast – try to focus ,ore on the expressions.
love the second, nice detail, colours and theme!8)
