Your lucky the pitch is well sheltered, could you imagine if it was on top of a hill over looking the sea.
Dave.
It is! The Atlantic is about three hundred yards south of where I was standing when taking these! The soccer pitch in Ardmore is parallel to the western side of the Cliff Walk!!
I was only pulling your leg, I’m a regular visit to Ardmore and I do the cliff walk a couple of times a month. Very exposed site, I wouldn’t want to be standing still for 90 mins up there.
Great shots. Wondering what lens you are using? Looking at getting into a bit of sports photography myself. Have an 800-200mm f4.5/5.6D lens which I’ve used to shoot a parkrun that takes place locally. I’m not sure it’ll be fast or long enough for something like GAA.
