Unfortunate side to Horse Racing

    Was over in Naas yesterday evening for the racing and took these. This was the unfortunate horses first ever outing at the track and the jockey was in tears afterwards. These pics are in sequence.

    I’m not sure what happened to the horse? It looks like from the second picture that the horse ran straight into the fence. Is that what happened?

    No, he just came to a complete stop rather abrubtly in front of the hurdle and threw the jockey off.

    If it lived then all good. I thought we were going to see it having to be put down. Fook the jockey in tears as long as the horsed lived he can ride another day

    I don’t think the horse survived. That’s why they are putting up the blue fencing in the 4th shot as the Vet is putting the animal down.
