UR Galaxy?

Thinking of buying a Nikon D80 from UR Galaxy on ebay. Safe? Real product? How long should I expect to wait for delivery to Ireland? They say no tax, but can I get caught out?
Any insight much appreciated.
Thanks.Brian_CParticipantHi, I asked the same question regarding a Sigma 200 f2.8 lens. The feedback I got from punters on here was very positive. I didn’t actually buy it in the end thou, but was reassured. Maybe do a search on my profile and you’ll find it.
ExpresbroParticipantHi ShaGer :D
I bought my D80 Kit from UR Galaxy. Had no problems…equipment wise or tax wise….and have bought from them subsequently and have had no problem. So I could only recommend them.
The equipment will be covered under Asian Warranty, which basically means if it goes faulty in the first year it’s going to have to go back to HK. Would be a pain I’m sure, but that’s the price you pay for not paying if ya get my drift.
Best of luck whichever way ya go, it’s a great piece of kit :D
dwhphotosParticipantHi,
I bought a Cable remote for D200 from them and had no problem. I know someone else who ordered a Sony Flash unit and they received it in less than a week.

ossie13ParticipantShaGerMemberThanks one and all for the input so far.
(as far as I can see from posts on this site, everyone gets caught for tax with DigitalRev)stasberMemberI bought nearly all of my digital kit (body, grip, flash, numerous lenses, accessories) from UR Galaxy over the past couple of years and have always had a sterling service. Gave me a heads up on his 40D priority list (shame I’m skint!).
Delivery is via FedEx international business priority, which means you get it in 3 days (so far every time) and it is declared and sealed when packed with warning stickers forbidding customs to open it. He normally declares goods for testing or marketing samples or such like and I have never been billed. Goods are brand new and unused, in case you wonder & he declares them as repairs. And he is also the packaging equivalent of an origami master!! Absolutely unreal packing skills!
