User Names?

It’s funny how these threads pop up every now and then…this one most certainly has been done before,,,but I’m too lazy/busy to go looking for it now… :wink:
Anyway..as detailed on the original thread..my username is a play on my real name Robert (or Robbie to most) Kennedy.
I needed a username for Flickr and for general use online and I didn’t want loads of numbers after it…so i decided to be clever so decided Ex Presidents Brother (John F Kennedy being the US President in question, Robert F Kennedy being his brother, for the younger folks) would be cool if I shortened it to ExPresBro.
Of course now lots of people mix it up with the coffee drink machine..but what the hell..could be worse :wink:
My online name is actuly “whippit” but i thought rgh photography was more fitting to this forum.
I got “whippit” because of my build and speed when i was at school and the spelling was changed to make it different for online use when i run the car forum.My dad always referred to photographers as Shutterbugs, and I looked it up
in the dictionary and it means an enthusiastic amatuer photographer……and
I that is exactly what I am :)
JennyI quite often walk or drive around without any destination or purpose and I like to choose ways, roads where I haven’t been before. I love random ideas and happenings. Photography is just a hobby compared to my real passion, wandering around randomly.

well, to cut a long story short during high school we were 3 of us, Giz (myself), Fetz and Wez. silly names born during a party probably.
then moving to photography, the name become more like the famous tripod brand, Gitzo.
An old nick name for the place I’m from was “The Goosebank”, something to do with people grazing their geese on the common green area of the village in the olden days. The people were jokingly nicknamed “Goosebankers”.
When aol came out a million years ago with version 1……..i went to sign up……typed in fstop and it was taken……..they gave me the 89564 so combined it is fstop89564………..
I started off as p&s cos that’s what I had back then. Moved on a bit, thanks to PI, and wanted a name that was:
#1 something to do with photography
#2 something less gender-neutral, [let’s hear it for the sisters!! 8) ]Came up with Pixelle.
Not to hard to figure out mine.
My name’s Mick and the company I set up is nexus451, just combined the two.
I get bored with my user names, on other forums I change them every so often.
I’ve had huge arguments with myself online with is great fun, especially if others join in.
Got a moderator on one forum to ban an alter ego, had to be careful though to remember to use completely different PCs exclusively for each ‘character’.
I’m easily amused ;)
