hey aidan, glad to see not having work on at the moment is feeding your photography habbit
I quite like the shot of the can opener, what i like it the fact that it took me a little while to realise what it was
although i do think they look dark, and yes i guess you did it on purpose the too dark thing
Thanks Steve. Indeed, dark was what I was going for. I don’t have the equipment to do the typical bright studio-like shots. So, taking a top from last night’s Dunamaise Photographic Society meeting I just grabbed a torch and made the most of it.
This is a whole new world. I can see myself rooting up the garden shed, cupboards, etc looking for subjects.
dude something i bought recently to play with
150 halogen flood lights ( outdoor security type thingys)
and put tracing paper on the front of them, they make great studio lights, considering the cost 6 euro each
I actually built the last one myself.
Cheap as chips.Oh and I like the pictures.

That last one actually looks easy enough … some plastic piping, bedsheet, desklamp(s) and some coloured paper as a backdrop.

I used it because I had to take some product shots for work.
I was caught of guard with the brief so i went around to a hardware around the corner
and this thing knocked up in no time.
