mgstParticipantOf them all i am not too keen on the second all that blue does not appeal to me the other three
have great composition and light and the processing is excellent as usual.Mick
dar_dParticipantSeaviewParticipantI also think the first one is a really nice image but I think the last one would be my favourite. I think it’s the soft water and the lights which makes it a winner for me. Would be very interseted to know how you achieved this finish.
Dave.
wesleylawMemberYou did a great job maximising detail in the skies. (maximising detail everywhere i should say). The first image appeals to me most. I am wondering what a crop of the right third of this image would look like, or if it was cropped just above calaido.com on the bottom. The closest rock on the bottom right seems to unbalance the composition a bit for me. Anyway, very nice images.
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantmick: Yes the blue was very difficult because it was taken during the blue hour and it is kind of hard to get details out of a blue soup. I work on my powerbook and my new cinema display…i am still unsure about the calibration. The blues appear very differnent on both screens. have to get some update software to be sure
dar d: thank you, i agree
dave: this was taken f11/30s/iso 50. We had no wind so the water was very smooth and allows this reflexion. It is an hdr.
Wesley: it was a pleasure to see some of your sea jewels! Wonderful stuff on your page. Regarding the first image: i was tempt to do that as well but i decided to stay with the big view because this is the beauty of these cliffs.
justaguyParticipantHi Madeleine
They all look fantastic.
Its a bit difficult to point out the best of them because they’re so different. Thats what I hate about multiple pictures in one threat.
But in this case. All goodMoongirlParticipantI actually really like the 3rd one !
The little houses and the lights make it really interesting.
Mitch
carrigmanParticipantExcellent shots as usual Madeline, but………………………………….
Valencia is a city in Spain
Valentia is the place you were photographing
And, godammit, you have no excuse…you live down there.
Please write out 100 times the differences as quoted above.
And… DON’T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!
:)
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantHi John, believe it or not…i KNOW that the right spelling inlcudes the “t”…..now here comes my excuse:
As long as the half of the world thinks, the name is Valencia…. i write both versions.
google tags
But for the sake of your relaxation, i will promise to name all threads in PI ValenTia ( ;
