Some shots I took while in Valencia, Spain recently. These were taken in the City of Arts and Sciences complex, a truly impressive area and the images I present here do not really do it justice but here they are anyway.

miki gParticipantHi Mikka.
Very impressive structures & I’d say you could find interesting shapes & patterns all day long. I love how you’ve used the reflections in #1. It’s a pity the water wasn’t totally still. Nice set of images. Well doneDanBParticipantaaaah, seňor Calatrava…I could only wish to be around structures designed by one of the iconic contemporary architects. And of course, while there, to hold my camera. For people who don’t know, he designed Samuel Beckett and James Joyce bridges in Dublin.
Any night shots, mikka? I envy you…:)
MikkaParticipantThanks Miki and Dan.
If I had a tripod with me I could have spent 2 or more days (without sleeping) in just that complex alone but as it was family holiday time I had to be content with being a tourist.
As Miki pointed out the shapes and patterns abounded and at night time the lighting created some very interesting dramatic architectural scenes if you can imagine that.
Definitely a place worth visiting not just for the photo opportunities, I was totally gobsmacked as soon as I arrived and started walking around…………./MikkabrianmaclParticipantif you want to see some other nice shots of this structure check out the may and June gold and diamond images on the IPPA site:
