brookiedParticipant
Hi guys
I am getting out of work early today for some Street photography. Before i head i wanted to share some from my last batch. Any comments would of course be welcome. :D anything that i may improve upon please point out. Just to add i like the more high contrast style, although not really showin in some of these its what i am aim for today.
ExpresbroParticipantSome excellent shots there! I think the ATM shot is the star of the bunch…looked like a cert for the City Life assignment too.. :D
Have to say that some of the people in the shots look like they might have been less than impressed with being photographed….bet you had to beat a hasty exit once or twice…
Great set of shots anyway….

GrahamBParticipantThe banklink shot looks like an add campaign for Focus Ireland.
Excellent.
However, and I’m not sure why, but the escalator shot is my personal fav.
I just really like the lines.Nice shots.
GrahamBParticipantOh and the guy in second last picture really doesn’t look impressed at all.
brookiedParticipantRobMemberSome very nice work there Darren. Though you may have been better
off posting one or two images at a time as there are far too many here to
post any sort of decent critique on. As it stands, all I can do here is tell
you my favourite, and that’s number two, definitely the most striking image
to my eyes.Rob.
FlipflipParticipantBank link shot is excellent! Well done.
Good selection of images there in general so fair play!
stasberMemberVive la monochrome! or words to that effect ;)
I’m a fan of high contrast b&w too. That’s a nice set of images. Takes courage to engage with the subject when in public, so fair play to ye for that.
On Grift, I would have maybe given the pedestrian a bit more space to the left, feels cut a bit too close. Looks like there’s someone at the end of the road, cut right on the frame, so maybe giving a bit more space on the left side would have also helped with the story as the person in the foreground leads to the person in the distance.
The escalator one’s catchy as it’s unusual to observe people from that angle. Good idea too (noted!).

I just want to second that – I’m off into town to get some street performer shots on Saturday and i can only hope my shots
are half as good as these.stasberMemberbyrne5012 wrote:

Of himself he simply said “I know when to shoot, that’s all”.
I guess that’s the problem with us mere mortals, ‘trying’ to take street photos
