Commercial services don’t qualify as art.
Anyway your mixing Income Tax and VAT here, not the same thing.

Constantine, now you know you can’t mix your income tax and VAT – even if it is a joke. I’m surprised at you and you the MD of three companies for quiet a number of years. You should be well used of all tax situations at this stage
constantineParticipantI meant goverment artist.
zero tax, except the vat I pay on my sixer of dutch gold an twenty blue.
Gerry, will ya be quiet, the tax man only knows about two of those.

A lot of my work is fictional, and I still charge for it. Fiction is a form of art. If its good enough for the likes of Barbera Cartland and dear old Bono, well it’ll do me too.
CoveyParticipantOf course fiction can be a form of art, but not commercial wedding photography, which I thought we were mainly on about here?
GCPParticipantI do believe that I started this thread with the above. It was out of confusion with VAT rates that began the thread – not commercial wedding photography, portrait photography, art, books, etc.
I would like all to “lighten up” a little and take life a little less serious. Approx 30% of every graveyard is filled with people who took life so serious, it damaged their health. Another 50% of every graveyard is filled with people who could not be done without but for some strange reason, the world continues without them !
So lets enjoy life, enjoy your hobbies, enjoy your work or your business – its only a means of survival really – but most of all take seriously the things in life that matter most like friends, family, health and people………and never be afraid to have a laugh and share a joke.
constantineParticipantCoveyParticipantWhats all this about.
I tried to impart a few facts politely. Sorry I bothered now.

Sorry Covey, was just pulling the piss with the artists exemption thing, didn’t mean to offend.
