It’s an image waiting for one of those motivation captions to be added to it. Unusual capture to say the least.

RobMemberVery good, an eyecatching shot to say the least, though I do wish
it was a little bigger, difficult to see the detail…A little counterclockwise rotation would help…
jb7Participantok, I’m not too taken by this one-
I love the setting, and everything about it,
but I just don’t think the picture achieves what it might have set out to achieve-Putting an opening in a wall is one of the most difficult things in architecture.
I would imagine that, had this view been made as a perspective study,
the view would have been made dead centre between the door frames. Also, as the architects job (putting an opening in a wall) is difficult,
I might expect the job of photographing the result to be equally arduous, and demanding of attention-
and I don’t think this has been sympathetically framed-
a little wider might have made me less unhappy-Sorry, only wrote that for effect-
But I think it’s not really people-
more architecture,
which might explain why my comments are inappropriate-j
firekingParticipantThanks for all the comments.
JB7 – very good architecture critique, which is why I probably put it in People:-). I was actually just taken by the security guards legs and the purpose of his position. People are wandering in and our of the rooms this corridor separates and the guard is oblivious to anything going on. From a composition point of view I was trying to draw attention to the legs and not the symmetry (or otherwise) of the doorways.
I like the fact that its eye catching in a weird way and makes people take a second look. Mission accomplished.
jessthespringerParticipantI like it too…
Quirky…
I’d like to see it in black and white.
Without the border.LoGillParticipantI really like it Niall – I don’t have a notion about arhcitecture but JB’s commets were very educational
I would prefer to see it in mono – and without your fancy frame :) plaine white one ya show off ;)

firekingParticipantLoGillParticipantPixelleMemberrichiehatchMemberI like it…!!!! Especially the B+W(ish) version….
Its not an architecture shot… its a people shot with architecture in it… as far as I (and you) are concerned..!!

DeeboParticipantI like this, cracker shot indeed. Lots of interesting layers and then the legs at the end of the tunnel.
BW version is much stronger, bit lacking a bit of bite. Need a contrast boost or remove all forms of colur
DeefirekingParticipantImagineParticipantI really like this 2nd then 1st, one thing that does jar a little is the item sticking up from his leg. As I don’t know what it is as it is too small to be identified (guessing walkie talkie?) I think I’d photoshop it out.
