70mm macro, tripod, natural light (selotaped to the window with the sun behind it)
    ain’t nature wonderful?

loved the vibrant green, cropped a little and straightened to get the vein straight
and thats it, trying my hardest to get decent shots off the camera with little or no
processing. Still not getting a lot of dof though this was f4.5 should I bump this up
    to f11 or so?

Thanks Jim! Macro is really fascinating the amount of
detail that shows up that the naked eye doesnt see, nothing
is safe when the macro is on the camera :)

Very nice :D And yeah…f4.5 is quite a large aperture..reckon you’d need at least f9 or so to get the whole thing in focus…just choose a slower shutter speed. 8)

Thanks Sharon, to look at this leaf with the naked eye there was no hint of
all the little tiny veins in it, loving macro!
and again thanks Robbie will try again adjusting aperture.

This is just great shutterbug… So sharp & clear.
Good idea about the sellotape on the window too! Must have a go meself!

I must have looked at this picture about 10-12 times now… it appeals to me… I like the idea… but for the love of me I can’t find the words to describe exactly why. Something to do with the colour, the divisions, the detail.

Nice work… that about sums it up.

    Hi Shutterbug,
Yes nature is truly beautiful :) and macro is the perfect tool to bring it to light!
    What kinda leaf is it?

Thanks for looking Marie, it is a flowering cherry tree leaf, when
you look at it with the naked eye there is no hint of the detail it
    contains.
