No disrespect intended to Mr. McVea or his company, but this sounds suspiciously like the Nigerian scam. ie Post money for equipment & training which is never delivered. :?

I have been, and still am, in contact with Thomas McVea. As most here I was very suspicious at first but Thomas was very keen to clarify some things, mainly that no sign up fee is necessary if the required equipment and skills are in place. I am still not 100% convinced if I will join the project but it is definitely not a scam.
Everybody interested will get more information on the project by contacting Thomas directly and in my experience he is open to questions and criticism. So if you want to know more talk to the man.

Why not just post up as much relevant info as possible on the website rather than dealing with people on a piece-meal basis?

So far we’ve had 2 fairly vague posts on this thread from ‘tomtomtoo’; which I can’t imagine have instilled much confidence in anyone.

Besides, by people posting questions on this thread it is effectively the same as us e-mailing Mr. McVea, except with the benefit of a public response that can be viewed by many.

When I originally posted I suggested that unless the kit supplied was relatively high quality, that it did sound like a scam. The kit provided is pretty much perfect for the job, furthermore if there is no kit or training needed then there is no sign up fee.

I would suggest that Mr McVea did not want to draw peoples attention to this as he wants everyone (probably even nikon users) shooting with the same kit. Further more almost everyone will think they have the skills to do this type of shooting and will not need training but many will not have the exerience that he wants so that all people are following the same work flow for qc reasons. I am an interior and property shooter, I do not have the skills to do weddings or sports for money likewise I have seen the result of “pro” photographers shooting properties when they are brillian shooters when it comes to people but their interiors look awful.

Ive read the posts and read what Mr McVea has had to say And id like to offer my years of experience and condsiderable photographic skill to you Mister McVea and please would you pay for my training upfront and then deduct it from my wage Im sure ill be able to afford it with the money I will make on this venture . You can keep the equipment when I leave your comany as Im sure after I leave Ill have no more use for it , And it can then be used to train another photographer down the road I can be contacted via a PM
