dsapkotaParticipant
Dear All,
Greetings from The Netherlands.I did not know about such a nice site, recently somebody suggested me to join it.
I have been using photo.net, nsn, npn, ll and many other sites for many years but did not know about this site.I am a serious Nature Photographer by hobby, you can have a look on my website below.
I am visiting Ireland, will be there from 5th till 13th July. I will be staying in my friend’s house at Mayo but will be driving for a few hours for photography.
I would love to meet a Bird/Nature Photographer and do photography together. If you are free during that period and interested, please feel free to contact me.

brendancullenParticipantI hope you enjoy your visit – and perfect timing for puffins feeding the chicks.
Most popular locations for these birds are
and
http://www.salteeislands.info/
Both have daily both trips to the islands…and both are quite a journey from Mayo – so two over night trips in a B&B.

beautiful shots, I hope you have a good visit to Ireland and that you enjoy our wildlife,

Dear Bren and all,
Greetings from Ireland itself as I am now here in Ireland and will be here till 12th. I am confused with the info my local friends tried to find for me using the contact info suggested on the sites above by Bren. It appears to me that hiring boat personally is the only option to do photography of Puffins in the spots suggested by Bren and it seems very expensive (360 Euros+other costs). Can anybody give me precise suggestions and also any other alternates?Thanking you all.
PixelleMemberThere may be some info here:
HARBOUR OFFICE Kilmore Quay
Telephone : +353 53 9129955
Fax : +353 53 9129915
Email hmkilmorequayeircom.netThe numbers below may be out of date but are for the boat which brings passengers out to the island. I don’t know the cost but it is affordable.
Telephone: +353 53 9129684 or +353 87 529736brendancullenParticipantHi – I’m not sure about the Skelligs – but i’m going to the Saltees again in the morning (Sat 9th July) – and i’m 120% sure the boat leaves from Kilmore Quay at 10:30 and 11:30 weekends – and 10:30am weekdays – returning at approx 4pm. The return fee is €25.00. Ring me over the weekend and i’ll have an answer on the Skelligs day return details. The guy i’m going with uses both islands. 086 6009332. Brendan
dsapkotaParticipantThanks Pixle and my special thanks to Bren who was very helpful to give me the right info on right time. I did photography yesterday in the Saltee Island, overall it was nice to be there. Besides, I found people of Ireland very friendly, would love to visit this country again.
Thanking you all.
