Just a few pics from Saturdays Volvo inshore race in the wests sunny Galway Bay…

You seem to have got right out amongst the boats.
You got a couple of nice shots.1 and 2 are my favourites with #2 probably shading it.
The boats seem so close together.#3 IMO is not so successful not being wide enough to include all of the
Dragon but not really close enough to make the action on board the subject.Well done and I hope you enjoyed the experience.
I got taken out on one of those little crafts on the Sunday and taking photgraphs
from one of those is not easy.Cheers,

well done number 2 would have been a good shot except for all the tugs going around they spoil it its also tilted as im sure u can see but thats easily fixed same as John on the 3rd , so its number one best of the 3, but well done they a re all sharpe.

I’ll have a look and see if I can tidy them up a bit.
There were plenty of spectator boats charging well for the two weeks.
€60 for an hour, suppose it wasn’t too bad considering it was very hazy and you wouldn’t have seen much from the shore.
I used a 70-200 with the 1.4 extenderJonathan
