summerdreamnMemberwow. i really like it at first glance but, not sure if i’m right, the cloned-ish hair on the right
is a bit off and the eyes, although very striking seem a bit too sharp. (is there such a thing as too sharp?)i love the direct gaze and the framing but the hair is weird. my apologies to the model if that is her hair!
RobMemberGood title Lorraine, and an equally good image…
I do like this type of framing, using the hair the way you have, and I also
like the cool skin tones, though once again as with one of your previous portraits
the eyes may be just a tad oversharpened…The depth of field does seem just a tiny bit shallow though at f2.8, a longer focal
length might have improved this somewhat (you must have been really close with
this one), but overall I really like it; another winner from you…Rob.
jessthespringerParticipantI like this, great eye contact and I love the colouring. I had to really look but the hair on the left of the frame is a little odd, now that I’ve noticed, I can’t help but look at it. I think if you could sort something with the hair this would be a fab picture.

jb7ParticipantThat’s a lovely portrait Lorraine,
very nicely arranged-
It draws you in-Beautiful colouring too-
It looks like daylight- but I’m guessing you’re in the studio again?

DratomParticipantfstop89564ParticipantLoGillParticipantThanks all – you eagle eyed bunch :)
The hair is (mostly)hers – although I did do a quick job to fill the corners and far side in order to get the crop – but looking again – its a bit obvious in parts..
Rob – I was trying a selective sharpen when I resized it looks oversharp on the eyes – don’t think it will survive beyond this phase ;) It was taken handheld in a tiny confined space at 54 mm at 1/40 … and yeah very shallow – but i needed it wide open
JB – this is simple window light on a dull overcast day .. and of course a gorgeous model ;)
Jess – she does have an amazing look doesn’t she ?? – skin .. eyes and hair – killer combination !! plus she’s so sweet to boot !!
Thanks all for the feedback … another pass to iron out the kinks here and I’ll be happy to park this one
Cheers :)
