I’ve looked at this one for a lot longer than I usually would,
maybe I just got caught up in the boredom-
thinking “is it a bird, is it a plane..” before realizing that they knew it was a bird,
and so they must have been much more bored than me.
But it does capture – something-
maybe its ‘waiting’ itself-
and air travel carries just a tiny bit of risk to temper the tedium-
Film has this one quality,
of being fixed at the point of the exposure,
and I’ve never done anything with a negative that didn’t involve more opticals and chemicals.
This one looks like its been printed a little hard,
tho I’ve no Idea about how it was scanned, (I’d be interested)
but thats the way you wanted to print it anyway, so fair enough-
The texture here is more reticular than granular,
like its a copy of a copy,
and maybe a bit overcompressed-
though, I’m only guessing-
Its probably only about a 5×7 print. I deliberatley printed it quite contrasty years ago and scanned it tonight on some waffer Lexmark printer/scanner combo deal, which would probably explain the poor texture.
