This is one from last night, taken in the Vic pub.. Not technically very good, just like it.
I’m feeling a bit rough today……. :sick :sickSinead.
nfl-fanParticipantNot sure I like this one Sinead… yer man’s eye looks a bit on the evil side and the blurred effect has gone a bit too far for me.
I think to see some more of the detail and some of the artist’s facial expression might say more about the music in this instance.
Kinda like food… sometimes keep it simple and let the ingredients speak for themselves. This shot is more about effect that it is Warrenpoint Blues for me.
Just my opinion… don’t take it the wrong way… it is a funky effect… and I’ve seen you do similar before that I really liked. I’m sure other will love it.
J
randomwayMemberI like the mass of the blur and noise… you can still make out a face, the light streaks of a guitar and a microphone, so you can still identify that he is a musician. I think, that’s how you see it after too many beers. John is right, it is more of an art piece than a stage photo (which is absolutely fine by the way). Sometimes you find these photos that you don’t want to delete, because they convey the emotions that you felt at that moment better than the sharp captures… it is technically not very good, but it’s magic.
I like it, too.
Zoltan
eshortieParticipantWith Zoltan here, really liking the mood no matter how flawed it is technically
I likes it it’s nice and atmospheric :)jessthespringerParticipantThanks for the comments on this guys.
I get what your saying John, I think maybe I should have given
a different title to this one, don’t think it looks evil though…
I did try some slow sync flash, but wasn’t getting what I was
after with it..Zoltan… lol, I did have a few too many beers on friday night,
am a total lightweight when drinking  I thought this was
before the beer goggles came out, but maybe not. The festival
is kinda magic for me, the atmosphere is something else, like
euphoric or something, the best sessions are in the smaller venues,
where the band are just surrounded by people, I just like the whole
feeling of standing in a haze of heat and sweat, feeling the bass
thumping in my chest and the beat of the whole place and everyone
in it getting their boogie on…. you just don’t get that in bigger venues. Thanks eshortie :D
eshortieParticipantHa I know what you mean there, the energy at a small venue is so amazing, with me and the lads it’s all about the moshin
Everyone surrounding the band and just getting as close to the music as possble, great.I wouldn’t know anything bout the beer goggle effect when taking pictures, only seventeen like……when not taken pics tho, well
Evan
