Watch Advert (a test)

    Hi All,

I was flicking through a magazine the last day and I saw a very nice advery for a watch and decided to have a go and see could I do something that looked good enough for such an advert.

The left image (the orange one) is the image of my watch I started with and the right is the advert I faked using the image on the left.

Please have a look and C+C my work, Thanks!!

Good attempt, there’s really not that much between them,
though the differences are important, I suppose-

The colour, obviously, and the choice of backgrounds-
    though the lighting looks similar-

    Good exercise-

It might not be too good to post the same picture twice,
it might dilute the conversations people might like to have about it-

    Hi JB7,

The left image (the orange one) is the image of my watch I started with and the right is the advert I faked using the image on the left.

    Does that make sence?

I found it a very useful exercise indeed, I’m gonna have to make myself up a light box and try again I think!!

Ah right, very good, I assumed that the one on the right was a real advertising picture-
    sorry, didn’t read correctly-

Yes, even better, you had me fooled-
    very good, well done-

Yes, makes more sense now that you edited the post.
Good work, only thing I would say is to make the light more even as you probs had a lot of PS work to do to remove shadows etc.. If the light was more distributed would be easier image to work with

would a couple small reflectors to throw light on straps and maybe some more contrast in the face improve it more

having said that this does loo like an advert so well done

Wow, this looks great. Really excellent PP work.

    I’d buy one.
