I am pretty green when it comes to landscape photography. But I really want to learn, and I can not think of better photographers than I have seen here. So help me out and please forgive my stupidity when it comes to this subject.
I shot this water falls last month when I was visiting Italy. I will be returning in about two week so have the chance to reshoot these falls. I was awfully sick this day and did not take many images but this is one of the better shots.
The photo is a bit small to be able to give any really good critique but I can immediately see
some area of distraction. For example the thin branch on the lower to middle right hand side of the image.
Also the bright item in the very bottom left corner.
The sweeping curve of the bridge in nice as it the movement in the water.
I had a look at your blog and really like the landscape image you have there with the trees reflected in the water.
In my opinion its very impressionist in style.
I think the shot is an “ikkle” but busy – there is too much to look at from pools to falls to bridges, you seem to have handles the xplosre well enough so – I think your composition here is what could be improved – usually (not always) simplicity works … maybe choosing one of the pools of waterfalls,, .. thats my tuppence :)
