I was over visiting my sister who lives in Arnhem in Holland last week and came accross this beautiful waterfall in the local park.

Very good shot, your shutter speed is just right for the falls. I would be tempted to darken down the trees in the background on the right hand side. They are inclined to pull the viewers attention over to them.

Really-really nice photograph! I like the glossiness (if I can call that some wet boulders) on the rocks, they feel like marble. I know we are witnessing a waterfall here, but the way the water curls down on the middle section looks like fine grains of sugar or flour – excuse my odd comparison, but I just feel it brings something different. The overexpose trees in the background don’t even feel that obvious until tex mentioned it.

    Beautiful image!

Beautiful image, may I ask what shutter speed you actually used? I’m fairly new to photography and like to get a general idea of settings used when I see a fab pic..

    Cheers!

    Hi Denise,

The shutter speed was 1.3 seconds which was just enogh to give a nice blur. The aperture was f22 and the iso was 100.

    Hope that helps.
