Waterproof Cameras Surf Pics

Hi looking to buy a waterproof digital camera for surf photos

At the moment the Pentax W10 and W20 and the Olympus 725sw look like my only options.

Anybody have any advice on them?

Due to the fact I only want to find my feet at surf photography and cost the Pentax w10 seems the preferred option but if anyone has any other recomendations please lemme know

An alternative option is to buy a waterproof housing for another camera … It’s not something I’ve particularly looked into, but certainly the pro water-based photographers all using housings.

cameras under water do a selection of compacts with housings as packages so they might be your best bet.
the housings are rated higher than any camera on its own,

just remember to check the seals every time you use it, i found this out the hard (and expensive) way

As far as I remember Canon do a powershot camera that has a seperate waterproof housing for it. I think the waterproof housing is about ?175.
