Hi All, I have been asked to do a wedding in the near future and though excited about the prospect am a little nervous!. Some of the shots will be outdoors with scenic landscapes as the background.
Was at the site at the weekend and unfortunately , if its sunny the sun come from the back of the party as we shoot out.
Any tips on how to deal with these sort of wedding shots ?. Also would you typically use filters whilst shooting outdoor wedding shots?, ie. a polariser?….or would you suggest a UV filter would be adaquate….or would you actually recommend not to use a filter at all to retain good sharpness and detail in the shots .
Also read about a soft filter recently. Anyone used these and recommend to use for selective shots or not worth the cash and stay away?
Hi,
In my opinion direct sun (strong) from behind is beter than from any other side. If it will be strong sun it is only way (shooting against sun)
It is all depands what kind of light it will be (evening, midday)
There wont be sunny anyway:):) you are safe, probably some clouds.
I do not know much about using filters at wedding. Polarizer maight be used when shooting through windows (car, church etc)
Most of photographers wont use them i think?
