We’re all off on our summer holidays

Not quite a recreation, but this gives some idea how our holiday habits have changed over the last 100 years.
This is the old Arcadia in Portrush.
Here’s a more ghostly treatment which maybe gives a better feel for the place. Perhaps this is crying out for a grainy treatment on a rain lashed day.

Portrush has got so badly run down in the past few years and is in bad need of a face lift

I’m not usually a fan of soft focus technqiues for landscapes but I had a wee go this time.
