West African portraits

Hello.

Here are some pictures I took of people. I chose people as it is a weak area of mine. I prefer taking pictures of buildings, but I have to learn. I would appreciate any comments or critiques, so I can learn the next time. At the moment I’m a rank beginner and need help with composition. Hope this site accepts people like me?

Welcome to the site (PI for short).
You’ll get loads of help here on the site, so don’t worry :). People of all level of experience here.

Meanwhile, take a look at this post which will help you work out how to embed your photos instead of giving links to the pages where
the photos are. It’ll mean that you’ll get many more responses if people can view them straight away instead of having to click first.

Btw, you’re our 5000th member, congrats :D

Congrats and welcome Number 5000 :lol: my pick of your photographs is the
first one it really appeals to me, I like the sepia tone used too.
