Westminster / Big Ben Night Time HDR

Took a lot of shots in London in march but only got around to editing this one earlier this week:
Westminster and Big Ben by Darren Kenny, on Flickrlooks great well done, curious why use hdr and was it from one image or multiple?
Cheers, I think this is from 3 images stitched together. As for why HDR? I just think it makes the image pop a little more and bring out the detail. When I process my HDR I try to make them look a little more natural but I still can’t seem to get that kind of detail/contrast without HDR processing. I can show you a non HDR process of the same shot, it looks nice but I generally prefer the HDR shots
Beautiful shot Darren ,The boat in the foreground is a bit distacting , you should try cloneing to remove it .. I think it would turn it into a pro shot, nice one..
