A few photos taken at last nights game. . .I’m not sure if I’m happy with these to be honest or maybe I just need more practice.Shot using a Nikon D7000 and 300mm F4 lens wide open…Any advice opinions welcome….MAYBE I’m just craving the quality of a D3 and 400 2.8

    Hi Dec,

    These look good to me.

I particularly like #3 with the Dublin player’s eyes firmly fixed on the ball.

    Well done,

    John.

    Hi John,

Thanks very much for taking the time……I wasnt sure of the quality and when I got them on the computer they all looked underexposed,,,so I gave them +1ev or thereabouts….

    Thanks again.

Lovely shots Dec, I too like very much number 3, but number 1 for quality is really tops in terms of sharpness.

You are really drawn to the ball in shot 3, even the look of the crown behind gives a sense of it’s all the matters, and by the way to me – hurling is all that matters :D

Third one for me also. Great shot. Just got myself a D7000 last week and looking forward to using it with a 70-200 f2.8 at Waterford Utd vs Wexford Youths game this coming Friday. So far, only a week ownership yet, for general use the D7k is excellent. Like you, dreaming of a D3! Once again, great shots, especially number 3.
