I should have said Agfa films are no longer being manufactured. Yes I’m sure there are people selling off their stock on ebay and such places but I don’t see any point in Bertie trying this film for the first time when it is soon to be extinct.
Ah yes, from what I’ve read this much is true, that it is no longer manfactured.
I put my tuppence worth into the equation as sometimes you may come across a film that you like, in which case batches of this film can be purchased at reasonable prices, and from what I remember, an unopened/unused film roll will preserve for several years if stored in the freezer, without much degredation, if any at all. The stock on sale in eBay has a few years on it anyway, so no rush to shoot the rolls.. And there’s lots of it on sale.
The day Agfa stopped producing Agfapan APX 25 was the day Agfa started on the slippery slope into oblivion.  APX 25, was, IMHO, one of the finest BW emulsions ever made. I still have a few rolls for “special occassions” or when I feel the desire to indulge myself!
I have foolishly become the owner of 4-5 old Nikon film cameras and I’m determined that all of them will shoot film occasionally. They will not simply be collector’s ornaments. So I’ll be along to beg advice again from time to time here.
